THE PORTLAND-BASED ELOPEMENT

STYLIST & PHOTOGRAPHER OF YOUR DREAMS—

AKA THE WITCH HERSELF

MAKE ART - DO SPELLS - FUCK THE SYSTEM

If you couldn’t already tell, performative wedding traditions (and, if I’m being honest, most wedding industry “standards") are not my cup of tea. I’m here for intimacy, intention, and design with a point of view. The kind of day that feels grounded and emotional, but still looks badass.

If you want a small wedding day that’s actually yours (and you want someone who can help shape the look and capture it beautifully)… hi. I’m Cat.

--NADIA VOLVOKOV

ELOPEMENT STYLIST, PHOTOGRAPHER, & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

I take your vague “we have a vibe” energy and turn it into a visual plan you can trust, then I photograph it with an editorial eye and a calm, steady presence. I’m for couples who want intimacy on purpose, design that feels like them (not a trend cycle), and photos that hit you in the chest when you look back at them.

This Didn’t Start With Weddings.

It Started With Art.

I was born and raised in Alaska, which explains two things: (1) I love the outdoors more than is reasonable, and (2) I’ve never been afraid of weather, dirt, or a little chaos. I’ve been making art in one form or another forever, and once I picked up a camera, it clicked fast.

I started photographing people in high school and shot my first wedding right after graduation. That was over 15 years ago, and I’ve been documenting love ever since. These days, I’m intentionally choosing smaller celebrations—micro weddings and elopements—because that’s where the meaning (and the magic) really lives.

Also: I’m obsessed with styling. Not “put a pillow here” styling, but real visual direction. I love building scenes, shaping mood, and creating images that are breathtaking as hell.

Quick Vibe Check

I’m a little spicy on the outside, extremely soft about the things I care about, and I take “make art” very seriously. I’m an Aries (don’t worry, I’m the productive kind), I swear a lot, and I will absolutely fix your dress bustle like it’s my side quest in a video game.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, David—he’s my best friend and sometimes my right-hand human on shoots. My animals are my children. Rico and Lulu run the house, and Juniper comes with me anywhere I can get away with it.

If I’m not designing and photographing elopement experiences, I’m probably hiking, chasing the coast, or hunting for the next addition to my crystal collection.

The woman has curly hair and is wearing a star-shaped headpiece and veil. They are standing close together, with the woman's hand on the man's chest, showing her wedding ring.

Yes, I’m an Elopement Stylist and Photographer, But Here’s What I’m Not.

Quick clarity because I’m not into confusion: I’m your stylist + photographer, not a day-of coordinator. I’ll help you shape the visual plan ahead of time (so everything feels cohesive), and I’ll guide the flow around photo moments, but I’m not running around wrangling vendors all day. If you want something intimate and beautifully designed without turning it into a logistical nightmare, that’s exactly my lane.

If reading this made you think, “Okay yeah… she’s my people,” then you’re probably planning a day with:

  • a smaller guest count (because “community” doesn’t have to mean a million people)

  • details that make you excited about the small stuff

  • a vibe you can feel, even if you don’t have the words yet

Bring me that. I’ll help shape it, then photograph the hell out of it.
