The Labyrinth Supper
You’re getting older, and you’ll see that life isn’t like your fairy tales. The world is a cruel place. And you’ll learn that, even if it hurts.
// Pan’s Labyrinth
Inspired by the elaborate dinner in Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth, this scene was set with a more modern day setting, yet portraying a similar message.
Decadence on the verge of decay. A sumptuous table set with embellished fruit, draped in gemstones like the diner herself; a woman who destroys an orange with her hands and only takes a bite from an apple.
Never a smile, even with all the riches within her reach.
Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in and endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction.
