Beetlejuice Inspired Sand Dune Elopement // As Seen on Green Wedding Shoes

When Elle created the Scarlet gown for our shoot in Vegas, I instantly thought of Lydia Deetz’s wedding gown from Beetlejuice and the rest of the details rolled out quickly from there! We removed the pink outer corset to reveal the pure red details on the corset beneath, and paired it with a gorgeous veil from In September, by artist Christina, who is also the mastermind behind our florals. Both looks popped against the dunes, the perfect place to mimic the sandworm’s home from the movie. Our second look was more traditional gothic, featuring Elle’s Black Swan Gown and another incredible veil hat from In September. She also created custom fabric florals to pair with this look that are out of this world, or should I say more fitting of the Netherworld. My favorite detail, however, is the spider web double exposures. I collected old webs with paint onto a canvas during the weeks leading up to the shoot, photographed the canvas, and used it to create double exposures with Meghan and Seejay’s sillouettes on the sands. I am absolutely honored to see this shoot also featured on the incredible Green Wedding Shoes, a blog I have followed since early in my wedding career! Make sure to take a peek on their site for more shots you won’t want to miss!
